Our first project on Eastside Ave and the inspiration for Eastside Revival. This two bedroom/1 bath 1920's bungalow was in need of some attention. Over 2 months we took it down to the studs, added a new roof, hardy plank and b&b siding, all new plumbing and ductwork, hardwood floors, lighting, appliances, bathroom, cabinets, windows, doors, closets, deck, fencing, irrigation and landscaping. Ain't she cute?
"Before" we started demo. 4 layers of siding, old asbestos shingles, DIY roofing, joists not touching the ground, all pipes had burst, and animals living in the attic! We knew we were in for a fun project...
We added a simple, cozy backyard and steps to create a new outdoor space complete with landscaping.
This dark closed off kitchen was opened up and given a light-drenched makeover.
"Before" photo of the small, dark kitchen. An 12" pass-though and a wall of upper cabinets on the other side (not pictured) made you feel trapped. Demo led to even more fun surprises but the new kitchen was 100% worth all the headaches!
We reconfigured the kitchen to give the space a small eat-in nook and added a glass door and window to let the light in!
We removed an old closet to create a new pantry/laundry room giving this bungalow all the amenities and storage to make it livable.
Typical of the 1920's bungalows, a single small bathroom was terribly outdated. We gutted it and added new tile, vanity, mirror, lighting and a huge window!
The master bedroom could barely fit a double bed thanks to a non-working fireplace and HVAC running halfway through the room. We cleared that out and added a second closet making this room about 2x as big.
A tiny dark room that was essentially falling off the house was completely redone to make way for an office or 2nd bedroom, complete with a built in closet and shelving.
This project on Glenview Drive was a ton of fun. We spent a month remodeling and doing the full interior design on this 3 bedroom/2.5 bath house into a 5-Star Airbnb "guest favorite". We expanded the lower patio, created a rooftop lounge, gutted and turned the primary bathroom into a luxe spa experience. We found a way to add a mudroom and workspace into some un-utilized space and added windows on the 2nd level to give guests a way to take in the incredible Nashville skyline views!
We updated trim and lightened this room up with the addition of new furniture and elements that made a small living area, warm and inviting.
This treetop suite didn't fully take advantage of the view so we added windows and also added a spa bathroom to make it an inviting retreat.
We added windows and turned a empty loft into a welcoming second living area, complete with a velvet pull out sofa.
We opened up the stairwell and added some flair!
We repositioned a wall and adjusted the door so we could fit a king size bed and desk in this guest room, making it luxurious and functional!
Turning a simple entrance into a useful storage and drop zone transformed this space into a functional and beautiful entrance.
At the bottom of the stairwell leading to the Garage, there was a space that was completely unused. We spiced it up with some tile and decor to create a quiet workspace.
